We are looking to expand our pool of Research Analysts to join us on both short and longer-term project based contracts, conducting primary and secondary market research, trade interviewing, data crunching (estimations and calculations) and report writing.
Working from home, the research analyst will conduct full independent research with much time allocated to primary research (in-depth interviews)supplemented with secondary searches followed by data crunching and producing highly analytical and insightful market reports.
He/she will act as Euromonitor’s front line contact with the consumer goods market, establishing contact on a frequent basis and as well as garnering up to date insights to latest trends and developments.
For this role the analyst will be expected to:
Acquire and analyze data on the consumer goods market in Japan via both primary (in-depth interviews) and secondary research;
Forecast future consumer goods market trends, changes and developments;
Build research contacts through in-depth interviewing and follow-up;
Develop regional expertise especially in issues such as consumer behaviour, market trends, economic climate etc;
Engage in data calculations and estimations to develop market data;
Provide high quality, in-depth and insightful reports.
For this role of successful candidate will have;
At least a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or other related fields;
Suitable for those looking to work from home;
Knowledge of economic, geopolitical trends and consumer behaviour in Japan;
Oral and written fluency in English;
Oral and written fluency in Japanese;
Research track record, with proven skills in desk research, trade interviewing, market analysis, data manipulation and report-writing;
Confident telephone manner;
Good numeracy and analytical abilities;
Comfortable with usage of spreadsheets (Excel) and databases;
Excellent organisational and communication capabilities;
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
This role is ideal for candidates looking to take a break after their studies before taking up a full time job.
It is also good for individuals looking to increase their knowledge on the consumer goods market through in-depth research. Some training will be provided on how to conduct research.
This position offers time-flexibility as the analyst will be working on project basis from home.
