<Job Description>:

Position Title: Technical and Training Manager

Reporting to: Managing Director - Japan

Purpose: To effectively develop and deliver quality external training programs for Certified Installers of our system. To provide accurate technical services and support related to products, training, and quality both internal and external to our company.

– Corporate Certified Installer Trainer
• Provide design assistance services to key customers as identified
• Work with R&D to provide design input, product validation and documentation for new/revised products.
• Provide technical writing for product literature including installation instructions, product updates, field bulletins, system updates, company catalogs, company web site and application guides.
• Research and provide competitive and industry related information to the Product Management group as needed to assist in identifying market trends.
• Assist Product Management group to identify possible Japanese manufactures or suppliers for local sourcing. May include all aspects of due diligence process.
• Communicate all quality related issues and in country corrective action steps to US quality mgr. and Japan Sales team

Other functions:
• Accurately and effectively train sales people to deliver focused training that generates sales and establishes product knowledge in the market place.
• Actively report overall progress to management staff in order to evaluate overall effectiveness of training programs.
• Effectively represent company at Industry Trade Shows in a professional manner.
• Undertake other training courses to enhance job knowledge.
